Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner - Review...

This is the second eyeliner I've tried from the brand Eyeko and although I've heard amazing things about them, I have been massively disappointed. I actualy received this in a magazine and as it is normally £12 I thought it was a freebie worth getting! Swatched this eyeliner seems great, it feels a bit like a gel formula and it really black and seems to last really well. However, when you try and apply this, it's really difficult to get a good line. You have to press really hard on your eye lid which isn't a quality you want in an eyeliner, especially on such a sensitive area. Once you have gotten a fairly strong line of the liner, after about an hour it has transferred onto your crease even with primer and eye shadow on too. So it's definitely a no go for me, I think it's crap for £12 to be honest and I wouldn't recommend it.

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Blusher in Onamatpeacha - Review...

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Blusher in Onamatpeacha - £9

I'm never sure about cream blushers, I have to powder because of my oily skin so then applying a cream over top seems a bit strange to me. However, I've heard make up artists say that applying a cream over powder doesn't look strange and actually can work quite well. Over all this is a really nice blusher, it doesn't doesn't work for me. I'm definitely a bronzer girl, I love looking tanned, bronzed and glowing, but I fancied trying something different and was craving a peach blush. This blush is the only peach one my local Boots had that which was a bit crappy. Anyway, it's really pigmented and does last really nicely throughout the warm weather, the only thing that gets me is the gold shine it has throughout it. You might not be able to tell in the photos but it's not quite shimmery but it's like a gold undertone or something. I find that this highlights my slightly larger pores on my cheeks which is not a look I want to go for! Due to this I have actually completely avoided this product. However, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves cream blushes!

Inika Mineral Eyeshadow in Gun Metal - Review ...

I've never heard of the brand Inika until I received this in a Look Beauty Advent Calender so I thought I'd research the brand. Inika uses all natural ingredients and aims to eliminate any harmful products that are in cosmetics due to the founder, Miranda Bond's difficulty conceiving. She realised that there are harmful ingredients in everyday products and therefore started the brand Inika.
This is the only thing I've tried of theirs but I'm definitely looking at purchasing some more of their products because I'm really impressed with this. I'm going start by stating how beautiful this shade is! Unfortunately the photo doesn't do it justice but it's just incredible. It's super smooth to apply and really blendable, a little really goes a long way with this product so although it's rather expensive I think one pot would literally last forever. I apply this straight to the lid with a brush and then a primer underneath so it has something to stick to and that will last all day and night. I have woken up in the morning with this on still in perfect condition. This is a really great mineral eyeshadow and I can't recommend this enough, if you're in the market for something new I'd definitely recommend you try this out!

What's on my face #2

I thought it was about time to do a 'What's on my face' post again, I really enjoy seeing what people have been wearing recently and their thoughts on the products!
I start off with a primer, normally either the Benefit Porefessional or the Clinque Superprimer just create a smooth base for the foundation to cling to. For foundation I have been constantly using the Nars Sheer Slow foundation in Fiji and sometimes Barcelona. It feel light on the skin but still has a great amount of coverage, it's really great for this weather, when it's too hot to wear something heavy. I then use the blogger's favourite Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer which is just the norm. I then define and fill in my eyebrows with the Sleek Brow Stylist in medium, I haven't reviewed this yet but I've been loving it. It's really quick and easy, the angled wax tip makes drawing in your eyebrows so effortless. I then apply a eye primer and go on with eyeshadow. I use Mac's Quarry all over the lid which is a plummy brown shade, then I go in the crease and along the lower lash line with Mac's Folie (my new favourite) to create a smokier look. I then just use Mac's Nylon just to highlight the inner corner. I will occasionally use Mac's All That Glitters instead of Quarry. I then line my eyes with the Seventeen High Drama Intense Liquid Liner and do a small flick, I apply any mascara I can grab on the day because I just lashes instead of going mental with the mascara. I use the Eylure 020 false eyelashes, which are natural but really pretty. I apply a nude eyeliner in the waterline just to open my eyes up a bit on these early mornings. Finally I powder my foundation into place with the Soap & Glory Kick Ass Powder which is transparent and great for oily skin without being cakey, and then bronze up my face with a warm toned bronzer like the Seventeen Instant Glow Bronzer which is matte. Just to finish off the look and bring it all together with a peachy summery nude glossy lip, I use Mac's Peach Blossom Lipstick and then use the Maybelline Colour Sensational Gloss in Cashmere Rose for a juicy glossy lip look.

Mac Haul & Review...

Mac Lipstick in Peach Blossom - £15
Mac Eye Shadow in Folie - £10

I've haven't been into Mac in a while, trying to save money and control my addiction but after being so well behaved I thought I'd treat myself. I really fancied a matte crease colour for my quad to go travelling with and fill a space. I wanted something that really complimented the colour of my eyes and that would look sexy and smoldering all over the lid. I ended up choosing Folie, it's a really warm purple toned brown. I haven't seen many reviews on this colour but I've seen a few 'unsung heroes' posts about it and I'm really happy I picked it up!
I then was cornered by the lipstick girl in Mac and I couldn't resist. I knew that I was nearly out of my favourite Patisserie lipstick and I fancied something I would love equally but was slightly different. I ended up going for Peach Blossom, I always go for peachy nude because they suit my skin tone the most and this seemed like the perfect addition to my Mac lipstick family. It's more peach toned than Patisserie but they are very similar. Patisserie is a lustre finish and in the bullet it looks like it has shimmer in it and although it doesn't transfer onto the lips, it's still quite off putting. Whereas, Peach Blossom is a cremesheen finish which makes it really creamy and balmy. I find that the Maybelline colorsensational shine gloss in Cashmere Rose is a perfect match on top.
All of the Mac products I've tried are great quality and really worth the money, I would definitely recommend trying their items if you haven't!

Shoes, shoes, shoes - Summer staples

If you know me then you know how much I love shoes! In my mind, even when you're having a 'fat day' your feet never change size or feel fat! I've really been getting into heels recently and I thought I'd share some tips and tricks to heel wearing!

The Summer Heeled Boot.
From depop

A heeled boot is perfect for everyday wear if you fancy a little more height but don't want to look really over the top and dressy. These boots have a chunky heel which makes walking and stability much more steady and comfortable. I love pairing heeled boots like these with ditsy summer dresses with an oversized slouchy cardigan. I really love that whole 'just threw this together' grungey look. Boots like these can be worn most of the year, the cut outs make them more appropriate for the summer although I definitely would't recommend them if it's boiling outside because your feet will be so so hot! Then pair them with thick tights and socks in the winter.

The Classic Heel.
Primark - £9

Stiletto heels are definitely back in fashion this year, I've seen them everywhere and I think they look incredible on. However, these types of shoes are definitely much harder to wear and walk in. The skinny heel definitely needs getting use to, but strutting around the house is a must to stretch them out and get use to them! I bought these beauties from Primark for £9, what a bargain! These are probably more of a classy dinner shoe but it definitely depends how your pain threshold is. Definitely not a walking shoe, but look amazing on and great for elongating the leg.

The Comfortable Strappy Heel
From New Look - £10 (sale)

I got these beauties for the amazing price of £10 from New Look in the sale but they still have these online so check them out! I'm very wary about strappy shoes because I think they can feel very unstable and your foot can feel like it will just fall out at any point, which I can't deal with! Also, some strappy shoes actually kill my toes and rub them raw, even when walking only a short distance. These are perfect if you suffer with these issues, they are still summery and strappy but withenough straps that keep your foot stable and in place, also the leather is soft enough that there is no rubbing! Yay! The heel is chunky enough to comfortably walk in but still skinny enough to still look sexy and girly. I really love the statement white sole, it goes with everything and softens the black leather.

The Party Boot.
From Primark - £19

These are my ultimate party heels, I can wear these for hours and hours without being in pain. The cut outs are on quite a sexy area of the foot and show off your ankles but still keep your foot secure. To begin with these killed my toes with rubbing them raw but I wore them with black socks a couple of times (which turned them into normal boots) which softened the leather and now they don't rub my toes at all. The peep toe makes them appropriate for most occasions and weather. The chunky heel makes them much easier to walk in and with black tights they really elongate the leg. I love throwing these on with pretty dresses and my leather look for a rocky grungey edge.

The Easy Statment Heel.
From Boohoo.

These shoes are so easy, your foot is barely at any angle whatsoever so they are really comfortable. They almost like a flatform, they have a hidden platform and I could walk for hours in these shoes. The wedge makes them really easy to strut in and you look like you've made a lot more effort than you really have. Also, they are very eye catching and look really cute with some little shorts and a tartan shirt or jacket. A definite must for heel newbies!

The Statement Heel.
From depop.

These are the newest editions to my shoe family and they are insane. The chunky heel and platform creates height but also stability, they are the highest shoes I own but they get easier to walk in the more you get use to them. They have really intense studs down the heel which are actually really sharp and if you catch your ankle them they are super painful. I think everyone needs a statement shoe in their collection which they love but aren't as wearable as others. I have these on my shelf at the moment just to show off their beauty. I actually bought these from a person on depop but they are from Missguided originally.

Eyeko Eye Do Liquid Eyeliner - Review...

I'm still definitely on the hunt for the perfect liquid eye liner and I thought I'd splash out a little more on one! I've never tried anything from the brand Eyeko but I've heard good things about it, I think it's like Mac prices maybe slightly cheaper but more expensive than your typical 'drugstore' prices. I've heard amazing things about this eye liner and it's part of their Alexa Chung collection and she always has amazing liner so I thought that it would be perfect. Over all, I do like this eye liner but I'm not wowed by it which I thought I would be! It's super duper long lasting which is the main thing I look for in an eye liner! To begin with it's really black and super easy to apply but within only a few weeks it dramatically lightens and dries out a bit which is annoying after paying £15. I don't think I'll be repurchasing this eye liner again, I just feel like there are better ones out there but I can just never find them! I do love the packaging it's really chic and I especially love the box that it comes in, I think the blue is really beautiful! The applicator tip is great for getting a precise line but the fat nip does make it really difficult to get a nice thin line, so if you're not a thick liner lover then I would stay away from this one!

I'm really tempted to try the new Benefit liner that is going to be released at the end of this month but it has very mixed reviews at the moment!

Orange is the new...

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in 'In Love With Ginger' - £6.49
Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in shade 12 - £5.49
17 Mirror Shine Lipstick in 'LA' - £4.79
Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Blusher in 'Onamatapeacha' - £9
Mac's 'Coppering' eye shadow - £10
Revlon's nail polish in 'Red Bikini' - £7
Rimmel's nail polish in 'Oragasm' - £3.69

If you can't experiment with colour is the summer time then when can you?! I think orange is one of the easiest colours to pull off and I think almost everyone can do it.
I've chosen my favourite orange shades that I've been grabbing lately which I think are perfect for this season.
Lipsticks - For lipsticks I have chosen Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in 'In Love With Ginger' which is a really vibrant orange, perfect statement orange lip, very glossy finish and with a lip liner underneath lasts amazingly well throughout the day! Next up is Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in shade 12 which is much more muted and more wearable everyday. I bought this a couple of years ago before so many bright lip colours were available and it was the only orange I could find. It can be patted into the lips to look more like a subtle stain or applied directly from the bullet for more of an simple effortless orange lip. Finally I picked the 17 Mirror Shine Lipstick in 'LA', this is a really glossy balmy finish. It applied really sheer so just gives a hint of orange. This is my personal favourite summer lipsticks, it's great for a hint of colour without taking the drama away from any of the other make up. Super pretty shade, all of their lipsticks in this range are great, I have loads!

Cheeks - I'm not massively into blushers, I don't think the "drugstore" have a great range of colours, but I really fancy creating a Mac blusher palette. I would definitely throw Mac's 'peaches' in this but I can't find mine anywhere! However, I've chosen Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Blusher in 'Onamatapeacha' which is a cream blush stick, I apply it with my fingers and then blend it out with a buffing brush and it just gives a really pretty peach tint.

Eyes - Orange on eyes is a bit of a weird one. I could of chosen some really coppery shades but I fancied picking out more of a true orange shade so I went with Mac's 'Coppering' eye shadow. It's a true orange shade but I actually think it's really flattering on. It looks amazing in the Summer with a tan just all over the lid with thick winged liner. It's quite an unusual look but really pretty.

Nails - Finally for nails I chose Revlon's nail polish in 'Red Bikini' which is actually more of an orange red rather than a red red, if that makes sense! I would definitely refer to it as an orange and it's really pretty. I'm not sure I can pull off this orange, I'm not sure why but I just don't like the way it looks on me, but it looks amazing on my friend who is slightly paler than me! I also picked Rimmel's nail polish in 'Oragasm' from the Rita Ora collection, this is an almost neon true true orange. It looks so pretty and eye catching, I've been wearing this to death recently!

I'd love to hear your orange picks!

Rimmel London Match Perfection Silky Loose Powder - Review

Rimmel London Match Perfection Silky Loose Powder - £6.99

I always have to use powder over my foundation, my skin is oily so it's a must for me really. I really like the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder but somtimes it isn't quite enough to keep the oils at bay, so I thought I'd try this loose powder instead.
Rimmel London Match Perfection Silky Loose Powder is  transparent powder that can be used on any skin tone, it's really great if you often change colour (tan wise), you don't have to worry about changing all of your make up to match.
There's nothing bad I can point out about this powder, I'm just a little unbothered about this, I probably wouldn't repurchase this again but it'll probably last me ages anyway because you only need the tiniest bit. I personally do think that the Stay Powder is better and sets my make up much better. Although I have been using this to set my concealer and then through my oiler areas then I do my eye make up and everything, then layer a pressed powder over top, it doesn't make me cakey because it's transparent but it creates a double barrier affect without looking caked in make up.
This is a good powder I do like it but I'm just not wowed by it!

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet lipstick - Review ...

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet lipstick - £8.99

Bourjois have recently bought out these new Rouge Edition Velvet lipsticks and I personally think these are the best products that Bourjois have released in a while! I do like Bourjois I just never find myself thinking about their new releases or buying much of their stuff, I think they're expensive for the quality sometimes. They've released quite a few shades, some really bright ones that are perfect for the summer, especially if it's too hot to wear loads of make up but you still want to look like you've made some effort.
They have a doe foot applicator which makes applying really easy and precise. I don't think these are massively massively pigmented, but with a lip liner underneath they are perfection! I want these in every colour! They apply quite glossy but then dry within seconds leaving a really nice opaque matte finish that lasts all day! These have lasted on me all day through drinking, eating and kissing, but if you do need to apply another coat of these then they don't go flakey or patchy whatsoever, so no worries about layering. They are called velvet lipsticks and the texture when you apply does feel just like velvet, perfect description, they feel extremely light on the lips, so don't feel heavy which is why they are perfect for a summers day date and definitely kiss proof!
You need these in your life and I know the shade Ping Pong is a bloggers favourite!

Typical pre night out selfie!
